I received this message via one of my contact forms:-"Whilst browsing the web, came across your site & noted that you had my brother David Hollyer (his black & white photography). Was curious to know whether you required any info I might be able to help you with."Unfortunately the writer didn't supply an e-mail address, making a reply impossible. So if it's you and you see this, please get in touch again!
Hagley Holliers
Following the publication of my article in BMSGH's Midland Ancestor, (see below), I received a booklet from Peter Bloore from the society's Worcestershire branch about "Hollier's Farm, Hagley and the Holliers of Hagley 1734-1840". This provided some new information explaining how Walter Hollier came to move from Barton-under-Needwood in Staffs to the farm in Hagley, Worcs. Essentially, he was left the farm in the Will of his uncle Henry, whose existence was not known to me until now. The booklet contains a large tree of the Hollier family, but this seems, in part, to disagree with the facts known to me about this family. It will be interesting to exchange data with the authors of this booklet to see what can be concluded about this interesting family.
Emilia Hollier
The Birmingham and Midland Society for Genealogy and Heraldry (BMSGH) finally published my article on Emilia Hollier. This is similar to the web article here.
