Kathleen Hollingsbee

Kathleen wrote to me, having come across my site via the Woodchurch website, while searching for information on the GEORGE family there. In former times, she used to send references to the Hollyer/Holyer/Hollier name to the late Harry Holyer, who carried out this One-Name Study before me. She sent through a couple of lists of such data she has collected over the years as part of her East Kent people index. Much of it I recognise from the information I acquired from Harry - it's a remarkable collection from a wide variety of sources.

The Aynho Holliers

Sheila Jelley (another One-Namer) came back to me having checked the data she had originally sent me some years ago concerning the Aynho Holliers. I am glad to report that my hunches about errors in this data were correct and that the whole Aynho family now makes sense.

Two Hollyer connections

Carol Batts contacted me to say she had two Hollyer connections in her family. Firstly Frank Arthur Hollyer who married a cousin of her mother and secondly Frederick Hollyer, through his wife and the Penfold family, which is one her father's side. Frank is one of the few Hollyers whose parents I do not know, so it will be interesting to follow this up.
