The Banbury Holliers

A long-time (over 10 years) correspondent, Judy Ohlgren, sent me the photo album she acquired many years ago of the Banbury Holliers. On the left is a photo of William Amos Chinner Hollier (1856-1923). Many of the photos aren't of the Holliers, but other ancestral connections of William's wife. I hope to add many of the photos to the online trees in due course. The Banbury Holliers are one of the many descendent groups from the Deddington Holliers.

Susannah Holyer & Stephen Ells

Not often that I am able to add to older data on the Kent Holyer family. Marie Miles contacted me via Genes Reunited asking about the Susannah Holyer who married Stephen Ells in 1817 in Canterbury. This marriage was new to me, although I realised that I had come across an Ells as a nephew staying with some Holyers in the 1851 census and had not at the time been able to identify the link. The Susannah Holyer was the one born in 1795, as Marie suspected. The value of a One-Name Study is that because I have collected all Susannah Holyer references, she was the only Susannah who could have been Stephen Ells's wife.
