Matt Hollyer

Matt Hollyer from Queenstown, New Zealand is the son of Mick Hollyer, the lawyer who practices at Nelson, NZ. He made contact and gave me more details of the latest generation of this family. I sent him a tree and a wedding photograph of his grandfather's brother - a photo I feel sure must feature his grandfather Richard Norton Hollyer (1903-1980).

Hollier wills from Oxfordshire

Carol Eden sent copies she obtained from the Oxfordshire Record Office of some early Hollier wills - the earliest being Henry Holyer, husbandman from Fencot, Charlton on Otmoor from 1553. This seems to be the earliest record of the name in Oxfordshire.
