Frederick Hollyer Album again

Spent yesterday morning at the National Portrait Gallery looking at the progress made by Constantia Nicolaides in cataloguing and identifying the photos in the Album from Frederick Hollyer. It's actually more likely that the album belonged to his sister-in-law Sarah Elkins as much of it relates to the Armstrong side of the family. We made progress in identifying the three brothers in the photo (left). Rather than being Samuel, James and Alex, the three brothers who went to the USA, we are now persuaded that they are Christopher, Samuel and Fred himself, taken around 1861 when Samuel had returned to Britain from the USA.
