Carolyn Cosgriff responded (see earlier entry) with copious details of her 40 years of research into the Hollier family in Virginia - which features no less than 6 generations with the name Simon Hollier. Good to find another researcher who has in-depth knowledge of US families.

I am working on a website documenting the historic background of the land in Virginia now occupied by NASA and Langley Air Force Base. There was a plantation there owned by the Hollier family in the late 17th century. One descendant was Simon Hollier born around 1677. Do you have any information on this plantation what you might want to share. The website is at http://gis.larc.nasa.gov/historic and I want to improve what we currently have under Hollier/Poole in virtual tours. Thanks.
